Kranti Mulik received her Ph.D. in agricultural economics in 2004 from Kansas State University. She started her course of study at Kansas State after receiving bachelor's and master's degrees in commerce at the University of Pune, in Pune, India. She earned her master's of agricultural economics from Kansas State in 2001. Before joining the Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute as the international grains analyst, Mulik worked as a senior economist and Web product manager in Agriculture Service at IHS Global Insight.
